Energy distribution of electron neutrinos from C-9 through β+ decay (and/or electron capture)

# Energy distribution of electron neutrinos from C-9 through β+ decay (and/or electron capture)

Electron neutrinos are generated from unstable isotope C-9 by β+ decay and/or an electron capture (EC) process. And C-9 decay into Be-8 or Li-5.

Carbon 9 (C-9)

Z : 6

A : 9

Half-life : 126.5 millisecond

Decay modes

Q-value ~ 16.679 MeV

Product : Be-8 (Branching ratio : 61.6%)

Q-value ~ 14.806 MeV

Product : Li-5 (Branching ratio : 38.4%)
