Energy distribution of electron neutrinos from O-13 through β+ decay (and/or electron capture)

# Energy distribution of electron neutrinos from O-13 through β+ decay (and/or electron capture)

Electron neutrinos are generated from unstable isotope O-13 by β+ decay and/or an electron capture (EC) process. And O-13 decay into C-12 or C-13.

Oxygen 13 (O-13)

Z : 8

A : 13

Half-life : 8.58 millisecond

Decay modes

Q-value ~ 17.76 MeV

Product : N-13 -> C-13 (Branching ratio : 89.25%)

Q-value ~ 15.823 MeV

Product : C-12 (Branching ratio : 10.75%)
